The first day of show jumping at Olympia saw Ellen win two classes on Cortaflex Kanselier.

Yesterday morning (Thursday) she won The Pony Club Mini-Major Relay with Leonie Aitkenhead, who was riding Martlets Masters Madam. And in the afternoon Ellen and Kanselier went on to win The Shelley Ashman International Ltd EM Rogers (Transport) Ltd and Equine Risk Management Welcome Stakes, clearing the 1.4m course in 25.8 seconds.

Ellen is celebrating after receiving an award at a ceremony in London.

She was awarded the Sir Michael Parkinson Award at the annual the Sports Journalists’ Association Awards lunch in London yesterday (Wed Dec 9th).

Ellen said: “I can’t believe it. I had no idea when I was invited to the lunch that I was actually going to win an award. I am over the moon!”

Sir Michael Parkinson is the President of the Sports Journalists’ Association (SJA). The awards are made on behalf of the SJA’s 700 members, sports writers, broadcasters, photographers and editors.

Ellen received a trophy which she has taken back to her South Yorkshire home.

The new site (at www.ellenwhitaker.com) provides all the latest news, results and photos of show jumping's golden girl.

There's also a special members' area entitled "Ellen's Horsebox" where fans can join Ellen's network and share thoughts, opinions and experiences on a wide range of horse-related topics, aswell as access exclusive photos of Ellen and detailed information about her horses.

Commenting on the launch of her new website, Ellen said: "I'm really excited to have this brand new site which is aimed at giving fans somewhere official to visit to find out what I am up to and to share their stories with each other. I really want to be able to connect more with the people that are supporting me."
